IMG_0394 We started in September of 2011 with 50 children in a one room school-house in the local church.  Every year we have doubled our enrollment.  Due to the 100% passing rate of our students at the Haitian National Exams administered this past June, our sixth grade class for this current year has 28 students from 4 the previous year.   We currently have 210 children enrolled in our newly built “Kindest Hearts Academie” school. Our Pre-K to 9th graders are fully supported with school supplies, staffing, etc. The children are giving two meals daily. The construction of the new school has brought much-needed jobs to the town from the construction crew to the 34 permanent employees needed to run the school. We recently introduced English from first grade to ninth grade with the opportunity of online English courses in a computer classroom in partnerships with Emerging Technologies Institute.  Read More →

Maison des Amis

Construction has started on this 8 bedroom house. The plan is to have no more than 10 children at its completion to live in a safe, clean and nurturing environment. These children will be carefully selected from the community with criteria such as orphans, at risk or abused homes. Additional rooms are being added to accommodate the caretakers and volunteers when traveling from the US.
